How to Download Twitter Videos, X Spaces and GIFs

URL formats, platform tips, and troubleshooting beyond the basics on the homepage.

URL formats that work

Each link type maps to a different media output:

• Tweet with video: x.com/username/status/1234567890 saves as MP4
• X Space: x.com/i/spaces/1AbCdEfGhIjKl saves as M4A audio
• Broadcast replay: x.com/i/broadcasts/... saves as video
• GIF in a tweet: same as a tweet status URL, saved as MP4

Step-by-step

1. Open the post or Space on X and confirm it loads without logging in.
2. Copy the full URL (Share, then Copy link on mobile).
3. Paste on the homepage and click Download.
4. Wait for the progress bar. Click Download when your file is ready.
5. Open the file from your browser download folder.

Platform notes

iPhone and iPad

Use Safari for the simplest flow. After download, check Files, then Downloads. If playback fails, try VLC for iOS.

Android

Chrome works well. Long-press the completed download in notifications to open or share the MP4.

Desktop

Any modern browser. Files land in your default Downloads folder.

Spaces and broadcasts

• Live Spaces often cannot be saved until the host ends the session and a replay exists.
• Ended Spaces may disappear from X after a while. Download while the link still works.
• Broadcasts use the same paste-and-download flow as tweet videos.

Troubleshooting

Download button stays disabled

The URL must match x.com/.../status/..., x.com/i/spaces/..., or x.com/i/broadcasts/.... twitter.com links also work.

Download failed immediately

The post was deleted, is private, or geo-blocked. Open the URL in a private browser window to verify.

Progress stuck mid-way

Large files need patience. Refresh once and retry. Avoid starting duplicate jobs for the same URL.
